Holly Gilroy was devastated when her long-term boyfriend ran off with Naomi, her best friend. Now Paul and Naomi are back in Hideaway Down for Christmas but Holly has no intention of bumping into the happy couple. Cooking and cleaning for the guests at her Mum's holiday cottages is one way to avoid that. Because she can't let Paul see she's still in love with him... can she?

"I was unsure about the book at the beginning but Emily's usual romp away writing very soon got me going. I loved the village, villagers in equal parts, it and they really got me into the spirit of Christmas, I have to admit that I love Christmas books all through the year. I shall be starting the next Hideaway book as soon as I have put the final full stop in this review. Another happy reader."

"If you could choose a magical Christmas then Hideaway Down would be the place. A close community who welcome others, a "proper" village with all the amenities and love. Emily's books are real treats so mute all the technology, make a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up with this book in front of a fire (or Rayburn!) Enjoy!"
